As every year, our Matex "Bezbronni" Foundation together with the "Happy Islands" Foundation are organizing St. Nicholas' Day for young patients from the Oncology and Hematology Department of the Children's Hospital in Krakow. It is an incredibly touching event that always grabs our hearts and makes us reflect. The moment when a smile on their faces is our greatest reward and a great honor.

 

This year has been very hard for all of us. The COVID 19 pandemic has turned our lives upside down, paralyzed the health service, and made us stop functioning normally.

Talking to the representatives of the "Happy Islands" Foundation, we heard something that only confirmed our belief that we MUST act.

"Before covid, children had cancer. Covid doesn't change anything because the children continue to get sick and need help."

​

All the more so, in this difficult time, we must mobilize more and maintain our long-standing tradition. Let us make a smile appear on their faces during this hard time. 

 

How can you help?

There are two options:

• you can bring us a gift that you would like to give to your child (details on gift preferences in the attachment below). We run the collection until November 27, 2020 due to the fact that all gifts that we will donate to the Oncology and Hematology Department must undergo a mandatory 1-week quarantine.

• you can also make a voluntary donation to the account of our Foundation and for all the collected money, we will buy gifts for all Children. Donations can be made until November 27, 2020 due to the fact that all gifts that we buy and transport to the Oncology and Hematology Department must undergo a mandatory 1-week quarantine.
